Q: What type of oil do the blowers use and where can I get it?
5 months ago- A: The blowers on the US Stove Wood-Burning Indoor Furnace (Model HB1520) use a specialized, high-temperature synthetic bearing oil, not standard motor oil. The manufacturer recommends using a synthetic bearing oil specifically designed for high-temperature applications in heater blower motors. Anderol 465 Synthetic Bearing Oil is the specific and commonly recommended oil for these types of motors. You can purchase it from specialized online retailers or stove parts suppliers:5 months agoHelpful?
Q: Is this bad boi inside use only?
5 months ago- A: Hello, thank you for your question. Yes, it is only recommended for indoor use.5 months agoHelpful?
Q: how do I know my existing flex duct ventilation and heat pump will not be damaged by excessive heat from this dude oer research warnings?
5 months ago- A: The HB1520 is intended for a stand alone installation.5 months agoHelpful?
Q: Can this be used with a water pipe radiator system with circulator
5 months ago- A: Hello, thank you for your question. Per the vendor, "The US Stove Hot Blast HB1520 is a wood-burning furnace designed to be used in conjunction with existing HVAC ductwork (forced air systems), not a water pipe radiator (hydronic) system."5 months agoHelpful?
Q: So it says it has dual 500cfm blowers. Everything I’ve researched says for 3000 sq ft you need much more cfm? How would this work for 3000 sqft then?
6 months ago- A: A furnace’s job is simply to circulate heated air through the duct system, not replace the home’s air, so it can operate effectively with much lower CFM than a whole-house fan.5 months agoHelpful?
Q: You advertise this as 180,000 BTU max, but the manufacturer's manual states a max BTU of 65,258, with a normal operating heat range between 15,997 and 53,042. Where is this 180,000 BTU figure coming from?
6 months ago- A: Tractor Supply Co.'s advertised 180,000 BTU rating for the US Stove Wood-Burning Indoor Furnace represents the unit's maximum, non-EPA certified heat output under ideal, full-capacity burning conditions. This differs from the manufacturer's lower 65,258 BTU figure (or range between 15,997 and 53,042 BTU) found in the manual, which indicates the EPA-certified, sustained heat output under specific emissions-compliant testing conditions.6 months agoHelpful?
Q: What type of damper does it have?
6 months ago- A: The US Stove Wood-Burning Indoor Furnace (model HB1520) uses controlled combustion with a draft induction fan, and it is explicitly stated that you should not install a damper in the chimney.6 months agoHelpful?
