[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Amazing on traction in the ice. I have used some yak traks before and these blow those out of the water. I got to use them a couple days after getting them while working on the ambulance.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got a major snow fall, and using the 6310 ice traction device I was able to wear my smooth dress shoes to several formal events without slipping in the days that followed as the snow turned to ice. Even my sloped driveway was no problem! The other nice feature was the way the were so easy to put on and remove, one handed off was fantastic!

I have only had them for a week, but so far they provide good footing on compact snow and ice. Unfortunately they do not come in a small enough size and I find the toe of the mediums sliding forward and off my boot.

How well do the TREX work? Well, when I received them there wasn't another snow storm this year. Although no one wants bad weather, I was excited about testing them on my fire boots. Over the last several years, the ice has taken a toll on my body including two line of duty injuries. A bad infection, a neck/back injury, and a broken finger made me realize just how badly I need something on my boots to keep me from falling. As I sat through the summer wondering about the TREX, I began to realize that traction isn't the real issue. Staying on my boots is the real test. So I wore them on my boots for a month which involved a lot of pavement walking around Motor vehicle accidents, and climbing on and off the rigs, and investigating burned out structures. They passed the test. At one time I had to wallow through some very heavy mud (muck) and they remained on my boots. Today, you will find them on my favorite fishing boots that have serviced me to the point of being total slicks. Recently, the TREX kept me from going in the water as I ran to catch my pole as a big 'ol catfish took the bait. Rest assured that when the first ice storm hits Pennsylvania, the TREX will be transferred to my fire boots.
