  • A: Specifications of Gauge wire; Cable gauge from relay to connector is 12ft 16AWG Cable gauge from Relay to battery terminal is 4ft.14 AWG Cable gauge from switch to relay is 8ft, 20 AWG. This harness features a heavy-duty 40A relay.

Q: I was looking at the traveler remote the plugs in to the relay for this wiring harness. What purpose does the switch serve if you have a traveler remote control? What do you do with the switch if tou install the remote? Thanks

  • A: The switch can be used to control the light with or without the remote. Even connected with the remote, the switch can still be used to control the light.

DON'T CUT THE HARNESS, fix the connector

A lot of reviews are saying the red and black wires are on the wrong side or "wired backwards." If you hook up the lights and they're in the wrong order, like the red and black wires are "swapped," you don't have to cut the harness up. Deutsch connectors are disassembled. If you just Google how to disassemble the connector you can swap the red and black inside the connector and the lights will work perfectly. They're modular for that reason. Don't cut the harness apart...
