Chest Tool box to use with rollback Tonneau cover

Searched for an affordable tool box that would fit under my Tonneau cover and this one fit perfectly.
This model has the notched out space behind the lid that allows for the Tonneau cover to roll back and not impede opening of the lid.
Easily secured it to the truck with ratchet strap along front groove or you could drill out holes and bolt directly to bed of truck-- I personally just use the ratchet strap since I have the Tonneau cover.
Plenty of storage space in this box and keeps bed of truck clear and organized.
Very Happy with the decision to buy this one.

Paper thin metal

I purchased this toolbox the end of December 2022. It fits my truck great and looks good. Within a few weeks I noticed it wasn't latching very well. Turns out it is paper thin metal and doesn't hold up to being stepped on when I step up to clean the roof of my truck. The sides are very thin causing alignment issues for the latch. One latch is falling apart and it has nothing to do with the flimsy metal it is made of. Now it doesn't lock, it flips open at random times. Compared to other truck toolboxes I have had, this shouldn't even be called a truck toolbox.

Good tongue box for storing 20 lb propane tanks.

I purchased this box as a way to store specific items on the tongue of my travel trailer. I was specifically looking for an interior height of 18 inches to accommodate 20 lb propane tanks. I measured the height of a propane tank in a tractor supply store and then measured the interior height of a floor example of the box in a store as well. The available height was perfect with about 0.25 -0.50 inches of clearance when the lid was shut.
I ordered a box and picked it up at a local store. When I got it, I noticed the areas where the latches are connected to the lid were slightly bent. In addition, the propane tanks I had on hand were ever-so-slightly a different height than the examples at the tractor supply store. Meaning, that additional clearance I had was now gone as my tanks were a hair taller. However, even though clearnace was now negligible, the tanks still fit.
To anyone looking for a hard metal box for storing their propane tanks on a trailer, this box fits the bill nicely, just make sure you double and triple check the actual height of your specific tanks.
Craftsmanship seems a bit poor for the $400 asking price, but considering how long I have looked for just the right-sized box for hauling 20 pound propane tanks, I am still pleased with the purchase.
Uploading pictures of the mild damage to latching mechanism and the zero-tolerance clearance of my tanks vs the available space for them.

Cheap trash toolbox

If I could give this negative stars I would. I picked it up and after getting it home to install it I couldn’t open it because the locking mechanism was so cheap it was jammed shut. I returned it the next day. Avoid this and spend the money elsewhere.
