They worked pretty good. They would be nice if they were sharper. I used them on my pet pig .

These may be good for duct work and cow trimming, but the are terrible for farrier work. I Bought them as a backup nipper. Used them for about 2 weeks. First, they were duller than a butter knife. It took me 2 hours to get them marginally sharp. Trimmed 5 horses and they were dull again. On second sharpening and examining I found the blade angle way too steep. Had to use a die grinder to correct it. Another hour to get them sharp. This time very sharp. 5 trims and dull again. I reworked the blade angle again and managed to get them razor sharp. They worked very well ... For a day's work. Dull after 7 horses. Sharpened them one more time and got 3 trims out of them. When I sharpened them I found the steel to be extremely hard. A file skated off them and was useless. I have a set of diamond sharpeners. They worked. Strange that something that hard would go dull that fast. Bottom line, don't buy this tool if you intend to do more than an occasional trim. Spend the money and buy a real tool, not this piece of junk. They are rather pretty though.
