Quick and easy, just what I needed

I had high hopes for these side reins when they arrived. The leather is nice, the elastics are stout with a correct minimum of stretch. I took them out to use and hooked one end to the girth buckle on my English saddle and the other to the bit, and adjusted length. They were very long and I had to add several holes to make them short enough to give a long rein to my 15.2hh suffolk punch mare. She is not tall but build like a tank, as a draft horse. I then longed her for about 15 minutes before mounting. When I removed them, one of the snaps was broken. For the price, if you have no other options, and are willing to replace the snaps, they might be a good deal. But you would have to un-stitch the elastic end and either stitch it back up, or fix them back together with chicago screws. Otherwise I cannot recommend them. I returned them to the local store,and was pleased that they not only refunded the price of the reins, but also the shipping charge.

These side reins break in well and hold up for lunging and training purposes
