4 months ago- A: The Tough1 Extreme 250g/1680D Polyester Waterproof Horse Turnout Blanket is generally suitable for cold conditions, but it is not typically considered sufficient on its own for "bitter cold" (temperatures below 20°F or -5°C).4 months agoHelpful?

Q: How to measure size
a year ago- A: Hello, thank you for your question. Using a seamstress or soft measuring tape is the easiest. Start the tape at the center of the chest the wrap around the side of the horse until the tape reaches the center of the tail. If the horse measures in between a size of blanket we offer, they do adjust by at least an inch up and down. So a horse who measures 74” would wear a 75” and a horse who measures 76” would wear a 75” as well.a year agoHelpful?

Q: I'm looking for a turnout blanket, pasture horses, for extreme temperatures below 15-20 degrees F and negative windchill. They do not wear blankets otherwise. I had to scrounge up stable blankets for Christmas 2022 due to the very rare and extreme cold.
3 years ago- A: Hi, This could be a great option. You want to look at how much denier and filling the coats have to determine if they are warm enough for your area.3 years agoHelpful?

Q: I have 2 horses in good health but I live in NW Montana and have extreme winds quite often. I'm torn on whether my 1680 with 250 fill is warm enough or if I should get something warmer with a neck cover.
5 years ago- A: I like the 1680 for durability. If the horses are out all night , I would go heavier on fill5 years agoHelpful?
