Knob under chin is in the way

Annoys me that I can't flex a horse in it because the knob behind the chin makes so they physically can't bring their head all the way around without that knob hitting them in the side. They physically can't touch their sides because it is in the way. Tried it on my 2 year old and totally freaked her out the first time it happened. Went to a bridle instead after the first time trying it on. I might still use it on my older horses for trail riding or something like that but wouldn't get it to start 2 year olds in, if you wanna teach them how to do a one rein stop or if you simply teach them how to flex or anything down that line. Only thing that I guess I do really like about it is the macatee rein would come in handy sometimes.
