Our 2" hex drive stump planer auger is a powerful stump removal tool. Safely grind stumps down without the mess, noise and danger that a conventional stump grinder produces. Our high-quality alloy cutting edges are engineered and designed to last. They can easily be removed and sharpened when needed. These cutting edges receive exceptional support from our robust 3/4" flighting, which also helps in removing shavings from the blades, maintaining constant contact with the stump. Additionally, our durable spiral center point is designed to pull the stump auger into the stump, reducing the need for excessive downward pressure. The heavy-duty center point can be easily replaced as well. Note: The 12" stump planing auger requires an earth auger drive unit that can produce at least 3,000 foot-pounds of torque, verify system before purchasing.

Was skeptical, but very impressed

I wasn't sure how well this bit would work, but this weekend I used it to take out 2 stumps, a 14" diameter mimosa and a 18-20 inch live oak. I was very impressed. Running it on a JD 331G and PA30B auger, slightly above idle on the machine. It took a few attempts to bite in the follow up passes, but I would definitely recommend.

Would not recommend tooltuff direct stump auger.

Seems like the planing angle is too steep. The auger constantly binds. Looks to me like if the angle were much less, it may do as advertised. And I'm using a big machine. A CAT 236d. I've got a heavy duty auger that I can drill holes with all day long. But the stump auger just doesn't work. I would not recommend this to anyone. I cannot imagine that on a small PTO tractor you could accomplish much of anything.

the description printed was very inadequate the cutting angle was not for cutting. The power required was to low this 12 in wood cutter would need more power than a 12 in dirt auger
