- A: Hi Toni, Thank you for reaching out to us. Our Pergola kits have the brackets, screws to secure the wood into the brackets and the shade sail depending on the kit you purchase. They do not include surface securing hardware or the wood beams, and the beauty of our systems is that it allows any kind of lumber that will fit the brackets to be used. Any dry, straight lumber that fits our brackets and is strong enough to build a pergola can be used. We suggest using cedar, however pressure treated, engineered, tiger wood and even IPE will work. By design, our products allow you the freedom to choose your preferred wood to suit your build and budget. We also suggest taking a SOLO bracket with you when purchasing the lumber for testing fit.5 years agoHelpful?
Q: Is the top weather proof or does rain come through it?

- A: Hi there, Unfortunately, we do not have a waterproof shade sail available at this time. Our current shade sails can protect during a misting but rain will pass through. Our shade sail is designed to create shade/privacy and block 85% of UVA/UVB rays. The shades also reduce wind, only letting 15% of air pass through. Toja grid also provides a 2 year limited warranty on all our standard shade sails. We recommend signing up for our newsletter on the bottom of the home page on our website to see future new products and promotions.5 years agoHelpful?
