- A: Hi Danny, thank you for reaching out. For a 10x10 pergola kit, you will need 8 pieces of lumber. For the height, we recommend 8 feet tall lumber. Q: What exactly comes with this kit? The description is horrible. Does it come with the shade? Also it says extra dark blue. The brackets are black in the pic. Is this black or a dark blue?
