This 8-inch gate caster with adjustable spring bracket is designed to allow gates to open and close freely. It features a 220 lb. load rating and a spring-loaded clamp that acts as a shock absorber when the caster is rolling over rough or uneven surfaces. It also features a universal mount for wood or metal gates.

Poor engineering

I purchased this wheel to install on my gate. Notice after installation that the wheel could not rotate because once you install it, the wheel is up against the gate itself. There needs to be a bracket supplied with it so that the wheel itself will offset from the gate so it can pivot. For that reason, I will be returning this product.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Great solid build.

Great build, very good solid tire, metal rim, bearings with grease nipple. The only drawback is when installed and the gate is all away to the ground, the wheel can not turn, swiffle. You see it on the picture.
