Attract and kill the ants you see, as well as the ants you don't see with TERRO Liquid Ant Killer. The liquid, which contains borax, is specifically designed to allow worker ants to consume the product, survive long enough to carry the liquid back to the nest. Ants consume the liquid ant bait and return to the nest where they pass it around to the rest of the colony. The active ingredient in the bait slowly interferes with the ants' digestive systems, ultimately killing them. Since this is a bait product, you will initially see more ants as they are attracted to the liquid - but don't worry, this is a good thing. After the bait is consumed, insect populations will begin to decline. Complete control may take up to two weeks. The 1 oz bottle offers plenty of ant-killing power to eliminate your infestation. For your convenience, TERRO Liquid Ant Killer is easy to use. Simply apply drops of the liquid ant killer directly from the bottle onto the smooth side of the cardboard tiles included on the packaging. Then place indoors on a flat surface near ant trails and other signs of ant activity. The more bait placements, the better. Be sure to leave the ant killer undisturbed while the ants are actively feeding on it.

  • Attracts and kills all common household ants
  • Kills the ants you see and the ants you don't
  • Worker ants deliver a lethal dose to the rest of the colony
  • Apply product to cardboard tiles and place where ants are seen
  • The more bait placements the better your results will be
  • Use along baseboards, under cabinets and near entry points

Q: My ants are like slivers, very tiny, and are coming in around the electrical outlets. What kind are they and how do I kill them? The ant bait product should be for grease loving ants

A: Thank you for contacting us. We’re sorry to hear that you’re experiencing issues with ants. You may try the Terro Liquid Ant Bait, model T300, which comes with 6 bait stations. Ants will enter the bait stations, take the bait back to their nest, and depending on the size of the nest, you may see results within 24–48 hours.

  • A: The active ingredient found in TERRO® liquid ant bait is a Borax. Borax has a low toxicity for people and animals, but ants are another story. When ants consume the Borax bait, it interferes with their digestive system and gradually kills them. This slow kill allows time for the worker ants to consume the bait and head back to the nest to share with the rest of the colony. But, as with any pesticide, it's important to read the included instructions for information on how to best store and apply the product around children and pets.

Q: How long is the product good?  I don't see any expiration date.  My open bottle is a few (?) years old.

  • A: If you have it long enough that it turns brown, the ants will not touch it. I just trashed 1/2 a bottle because of this.

Formula Change Doesn’t Work Messy

This use to be a really good product. I guess it was so good the sales went down. Because they changed the container and also the formula. It’s very runny nowadays spills easily and it doesn’t get rid of the ants. Don’t waste your money

No, I do not recommend this product.

Thank you for this feedback. When the bait station design changed, the formula did not. The product is made up of borax, sugar, and water, so it will naturally be fluid in nature. If ants are not interested in the bait, then they are likely not looking for sweet based foods at this time. We recommend contact killers such as granules, dust, or sprays to combat them.
