- A: Good Afternoon. Yes you would be able to use this stapler to put up fence into wood posts. Please note that 9/16" is longest leg length staple that can be used is this stapler. Also, if the staple being used is not flush the leg length may be too long and it is recommended to use the next shorter length.7 years agoHelpful?

Easy to Use

I have had the same stapler for the last 10 years and was nervous to switch to a new one after my last stapler died. This stapler is great and super easy to use! Make sure the staples are loaded right and you shouldn’t have an issue. My first project was building a rabbit tractor and I used the stapler to attach the wire. Worked perfectly! Very pleased!

I bought this stapler a few weeks ago to use on a simple fencing project. it is the worst work stapler I have ever used. It has adjustable power, but even when hard as possible it will not set a simple staple into the side of a 2 x 2. It will in the grain end of a board, which is meaningless. We were stuck in the field all day with that staple gun. "Shot the staple then hammer it in"

Is there anyway to loosen the tension on this staple gun?
It is a 3 in one surebonder. Other wise I will have to purchase a new one with less tension

I've used this staple gun for years and never had an issue with performance.
However, the spring loaded rod for tension on the staples cannot be bought separately if it's lost, which is the problem I had. You have to buy a whole new staple gun.
They gave me a discounted price which I appreciated but the rod should be available for sale separately from the gun itself.
Overall a great gun which can take a beating and keep on going!
