Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice pump just more than I needed I bought this pump to use to winterize my jet skis. 1/3 hp was way more than I needed. The pump worked fine but moved antifreeze at a way faster rate than I anticipated. It pumped 2 gallons of antifreeze from a 5 gallon bucket throught the jet ski cooling system in about 5 seconds. Nothing wrong with the pump, the gpm was just much more than I needed.

How many start up watts will this unit pull. I am running a 2000 watt generator.

Asked by: djorda
The start up watts are 4600 watts. So the generator must have 4600 running watts, so as to not destroy this unit. Do not look at the peak watts of a generator (which the generators are sold on), but the running watts for the generator.

Can I lay this pump on its side?  How far down on the pump (sitting upright) can water level go before the pump stops moving water?

Asked by: Crystal66
No, this is only to be in the upright position only. The pump will pump water till it goes down to about ¼” of water left on the floor surface.

How do I disassemble the pump to clean it out.?I used it for a tank that had some debris in it.

Asked by: The Silver Fin
To remove the screen from your utility pump, you will need a flathead screwdriver. Turn the pump upside down and you will find 3 circular feet. On the outer diameter of each foot, facing towards the inside of the pump, the screen meets up with the foot on a flat edge. Take the flathead screwdriver and insert it between the foot and the flat edge. Angle the handle of the screwdriver away from the pump to pop the tab off the shoulder it rests on. Continue onto the other 2 feet until the screen comes off the pump. Please note that you will need to be gentle as the tabs are plastic. If you use too much force, they may break. Please check your email for additional information.
