The bottom of the planter has a hole in the outer wall (includes a plug) to fill the outer wall with gravel or sand to add weight to the planter, making it a great option for windy environments. The bottom of the planter also features a marked location for adding a drainage hole to help maintain root health and provide proper drainage. Use a 1/4" drill bit to create the hole.
