At only 7.9 lbs, the Sun Joe SWJ802E is super lightweight and easy to handle. Stand safely on solid ground while adjusting Sun Joe's telescoping pole. Pole extends 9.4 ft to gain up to 15.5 feet of overhead reach! Powered by a 6.5-amp motor, the SWJ802E can handle the most stubborn tree limbs up to 7.5-inches thick. This pole chain saw features an 8-inch Sun Joe bar and chain with an auto-oiler to keep the bar and chain fully lubricated during use. Unique to SWJ802E is a multi-position adjustable head, which cuts from 0 to 30 angles. Unlike gas-powered tools, the Sun Joe pole saw is powered electrically, so you'll reliably power up with the push of a button without having to deal with smoke, fumes, unpredictable starters or costly tune-ups. Plus, SWJ802E comes equipped with a built-in safety switch to prevent accidental starting. CSA- approved; Full two year warranty.

Not what I expected

I bought the pole chain saw as I hoped with a horizontal tilt I could cut along my 150 ft long bougainvillea hedge with ease. Unfortunately, the blade only tilts vertically which doesn't help much. However, the main problem is that the twigs of the hedge get caught in the chain causing it to come off. To complete the 150 ft, I had to clean and re-mount the chain 4 times.

Works better than I expected.

I used it yesterday to take down a 20 foot Aspen tree that had died in my back yard. With the extension handle and a step ladder, I came right down. Branch by branch till only the trunk was left and it cut through it quickly

Use to get into trimming shrubs with out tearing up hand. I use it to trim out cactus. Only thing is just remove bar nut from plastic knob and make sure the nut is tight with tool. Then put on plastic knob cap. If the nut is not wrench tightened chain will get loose.
