I bumped them up to a 3 star since they finally have a replacement cable for the 1.5mm 12V output on the solar panel available on their website. They now offer the 1.5mm cable and 1.7mm cable even though they tried to tell me in my previous review that they never changed 12V output connections. It looks like they finally realized they did in 2024. Thank you for finally offering a replacement cable. If you would now offer a cable with a critter protective sheath around it you would solve all my problems. There are a lot of good cable options out there with a metal sheath around the cable for the 1.7mm solar panels but nothing available for the 1.5mm. Please look into making one. I can’t get a regular cable to last more than a month without getting chewed up.

So first of all I loved the solar panel until they changed the 12V output connection on the solar panel. The supplied cable that goes from the solar panel to the camera just doesn’t stand up to rodents chewing through them. I would buy 3rd party armored cables and I had cameras out for years without messing with them. The old 12V output connection on the solar panel was a 4.0x1.7mm that was easy to find. Then they changed the 12V output connection to a 1.5mm that is impossible to find and Spypoint won’t even sell them. Even if they did sell them they need to supply an armored cable that will last. I will be switching to a different solar panel if they don’t figure this out. Which is sad because I already had 6 of these solar panels.

Purchased 2 of these, both lasted just beyond the warranty and died. It would be great if they made the LIT 22 battery bidirectional so it will charge through the contacts and have an access door where you could replace the battery when it fails

Bought 2 of these a month ago and both were working great. Checked on cameras and both wires were broken. Wire definitely needs to be upgraded.
