I’m perfectly happy with this machete for hacking through aloe. I read a review that the saw edge needed filing to be useful. But I sawed through some branches to cut them down for the compost bin and it worked fine.

The best machete money can buy the blade stays sharp for an incredibly long time through lots of abuse. I own two for cutting and maintaining trails. Wish the saw on the back was sharp from the factory

This machete is strong and holds an edge to get the job done. I have used it to trim small trees and ready kindling. The weight on the blade helps carry-thru and swing balance.

Purchased on sale 6 YEARS ago. Everything from small brush to pushing it's limits on felling small trees. It's been used near daily on homestead farm and hunt clubs. Couple minutes with file and the saw back is even a great cutter. The rubber handle eventually wore out I don't fault it due to hard use it's been through I simply wrapped it and still use a lot, it rides on the farm truck doing it's duty. Great tool highly recommend
