- A: Hi, To anchor an SMV Industries 8 ft. Windmill Silver with American Flag Accent to the ground, you should use an anchoring system such as concrete pilings, a concrete pad, or screw-in anchors. High winds or light soil conditions can cause the windmill to fall over, damaging the rotor head and other components. The welds already broke after 4 days of use. No storms or heavy welds, just shotty workmanship....straight outta China. I've emailed TS but I've had no reply back

Arrived on time, need 2 to assemble, mostly to install cross bracing. Works nicely, looks good in yard. Really need to anchor down, wind storm pushed mine over, no damage.

Love this!!! It is reasonable priced for what you get. It is beautiful! Easy yo put together. Somehow the instructions got lost. My 15 year old grandson UTubed yhe instructions and had it put together in half an hour . Dometimes UTube makes putting domething together easier to see soneone do it rather than trying to read and gigure put written instructions. The ground is still frozen so it is in my family room till wr can taje it out and anchor it down. Rven cane with anchors!! Highly recommend!! 5*
