Q: Are these made in the USA?
2 years ago- A: These are designed in the USA and manufactured in another country.2 years agoHelpful?
Q: I had a strap 2" x 30ft,,it broke as soon as we used it ,,1st time......If I buy this 4" wide strap with LOOP ends,,,can I add HOOKS to the LOOPS for ease of use??

Q: I used one of these to lift a 1000lb, 70ft tower into vertical orientation (amateur radio hobby). It performed flawlessly. My question is about UV and weather degradation because the strap is still 35 feet up, for 2 years now. Still usable?
3 years ago- A: It would unlikely that these straps would still be usable for their intended and rated purpose. Industry standards recommend that when not in use, straps should be kept in cool dry places to avoid degradation due to UV exposure. While our straps do have some additional coatings and additives to fight UV damage, after 2 years of constant exposure these straps will probably exhibit one or more signs of UV damage (“bleached” color, stiffness, abrasions in areas not in contact with load/cargo, etc.). It would be recommended that these straps be replaced and not used further.3 years agoHelpful?
Q: Why did you comment that your product only has a breaking strength of 13,333 lbs when it clearly says 30,000 lbs on your package?? Don't think the person looked at the 30 feet long. Clearly says 30,000 lb. breaking strength!!
6 years ago- A: The Break Strength is listed as 30,000 on the product; however, the Safe Work Capacity is 10,000 lbs. You will find Industry-wide the Safe Work Capacity is 1/3 of the Break Strength. Always stay within the Safe Work Capacity.6 years agoHelpful?
Q: What is the stretch percent is for this strap?
7 years ago- A: The Recovery Strap does not have any stretch to them. Perhaps you are thinking that the Recovery Strap is similar to nylon "snatch straps." Our product is different and should not be used in a manner similar to other type products.7 years agoHelpful?
Q: The package says the break strength is 13,608 kilograms. Is that what the team meant in their previous answer instead of a break strength of 13,333 pounds.
8 years ago- A: This message was taken care of off-line by the Representative for SmartStraps.8 years agoHelpful?
Q: How can this have a break strengh of 30000lbs if 40000lbs is it's mac load capacity?
9 years ago- A: The break strength is 13,333 lbs. Perhaps the 30 you saw is indicating the length of the Strap and not lbs.?9 years agoHelpful?
