The MeshGuard Base is a component of the MeshGuard Porch Screening System from Screen Tight. MeshGuard is a revolutionary porch screening system that eliminates the need for pickets, balusters or other traditional barriers below the screen porch handrail on elevated porches. This patented, code-compliant guardrail infill screening system eliminates visual obstructions to create a wide open view to the outdoors. MeshGuard is easy to install and suitable for DIYers or professionals. MeshGuard's Cap, Screen, Spline, Metal Strip, and Screws sold separately.

  • International Code Council (ICC) compliant for screening up to 6 ft. x 3 ft. guardrail infill areas; usage of all included system components required
  • Approved as guardrail infill for 6 ft. x 3 ft. openings below the handrail
  • All system components must be used and include MeshGuard PVC base, heavy-duty polyester screen, patented rounded-edge flat spline, steel retainer strip and stainless steel self-drilling screws
  • Mount to existing wood framework for a code-compliant alternative to pickets
  • Customize color by choosing Screen Tight finishing cap in white, beige, brown or grey
  • Heavy-duty system components resist corrosion to ensure optimal strength over time
  • Integrates with the original Screen Tight system above the rail for a seamless look
  • Matching orange indicators on screen and spline to ensure building code compliance
