Choosing the right bike can be tough. Road bikes are great for speed and fitness, but they can't handle even the smallest patch of gravel. Cruiser bikes are fun and casual, but they aren't designed for long and strenuous rides. Mountain bikes can handle gnarly trails but aren't fast enough to take to work. Sounds like you need a hybrid, the perfect combination of road bike speed, cruiser comfort and mountain bike versatility. The 700c Women's Schwinn GTX 2 has all of that and more, a true multi-sport hybrid that can handle all of your biking needs. Ride it around the neighborhood with the kids, take it to the store or commute to work with it in the mornings - The GTX 2 is up for anything. It features 21-speed trigger shifters for easy, precise gear changes, a Schwinn suspension fork to smooth out the ride, and strong and light alloy rims for added stability. The front and rear mechanical disc brakes provide extra stopping power and the Schwinn multi-use tires are perfect for on-road riding or off-road adventures. On top of that, like all Schwinn bikes, the GTX 2 comes with a limited lifetime warranty for as long as you own the bike. So what are you waiting for? Enjoy the ride on a Schwinn!

    Bound for college

We purchased the bike for our grandson for Christmas. My husband had no problem putting it together, and was excited to take it for a practice run. He was disappointed when he shifted into third gear. It did shift, but it was very hard to do so. He will be taking it to a local bike shop to see if they can solve this problem. It's a beautiful bike, and when we solve this problem, we know out grandson will use it for many years.

Bike broke after 1 use. Had to take it to a bike shop and the derailer wasn’t right, the brakes weren’t right, the crank arms were way loose. It was a mess. Knowing now what I know, and how we have been treated because the bike is a ‘Schwinn’, I don’t think we would purchase from Schwinn again. Also, I asked Schwinn for repair shops we could go to, instead of an answer it was ‘we don’t pay labor’ - I asked for an authorized/approved repair not for the company to pay for the repair. So you are welcome for three new bikes in a year, sorry we won’t be back.

    Horrible experience

Ordered two. Both arrived with problems right out of the box. One of them with bent brake disk impossible to adjust without touching the brake pads and grinding while the wheel is spinning. On the other one the brake system was not assembled properly so there was absolutely no way for me to fix them and start riding without going to a bike shop. I wanted to return them but Schwinn wanted to charge me for shipping although I had a valid reason to return them and it wasn’t my fault that the bikes were not in operable condition. I guess I learned my lesson the hard way : I will never purchase again from Schwinn, or if I ever purchase bikes online, it would be from a site like Amazon or anywhere else that offers free returns no matter the reason for the return.

I received this bike as a gift and although it is a good bike I’ve had many problems, most notably, the peddle has completely tore thru it’s threads and fallen off, and the handle bars were installed backwards
