This system is called 3-4 because it has a patent-pending feature that allows the removal of one of its side panels when working close to a wall. This feature is great, but what's more is the sturdy, safe feeling it provides in the four-sided configuration. To achieve this, the design improves the typical tolerances, mostly by adding square fittings where the guardrail connects to the scaffold. It's also adjustable, for a proper fit every time. Multifunction Scaffold not included.

- A: The 47" dimension is the box size. Each long side is assembled with two main pieces and connecting rails & toe boards. The assembled dimension is 69.5" and fits the standard MF unit along with our six ft. unit. We even have slotted assembly holes to allow for slight variations between different units on the market. -Matthew2 years agoHelpful?

- A: Multifunction units are designed with ladder rungs built into their frames. By design, climbing those ladder rungs is the only way to mount the platform. The product is not designed to be entered from the side, and to do so can cause a tilt condition. The 3-4 Guardrail System's removable side panel allows unimpeded access to work surfaces, but it is not designed to create an additional point of entry. When exceeding 71 inch standing heights, the platform can only be mounted in the three-panel configuration if the open side is protected by a structural wall, and the platform is no more than two inches from that wall in it's entirety. - A: The 3/4 guardrail should fit most standard-sized baker scaffolding. There are over 60 different manufacturers of the common baker units, though, and it may not fit all types.2 years agoHelpful?
