- A: Hi Neighbor- To clean an S&K cedar bluebird house, open the front or side panel, remove old nesting material, and scrape out debris. Scrub the interior with a weak bleach solution ( bleach, water) or mild soap and water to kill parasites. Rinse thoroughly, dry completely, and ensure no splinters remain3 months agoHelpful?
