Q: how to reset my Incubator

1 Answer
  • A: Hi Neighbor! To reset the Rugg EGG Ranch incubator to factory settings, you typically need to press and hold the "Menu" and "-" buttons simultaneously for about 5 seconds until you hear a beep. After this, the display will show all eights, signaling that the reset is complete, and the incubator's timer will restart its countdown. You can also contact the manufacturer at (760) 734-3748 for troubleshooting tips.

Horrible

I have already lost half the eggs in the incubator by day 10. This is the worst incubator ever.

Buy something else

To put it bluntly, I hate this incubator. First, the lid is a nightmare to put on correctly. The humidity is horrid to keep up with and it give no sign the humidity is struggling. The plastic part around the motor makes it hard for the chick's to move around. I couldn't imagine if I actually had 30 eggs in here. I have 19 and they're struggling to move around. After these chick's get out I will no longer be using this. I'll buy something else first. The temperature was good, I will say. Very consistent in temperature. Rotation works for small or normal sized eggs. Large eggs? Forget about it.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Great if you don’t follow the instructions

This is a great incubator! If you don’t follow the instructions in the box! I had about a 90% hatch rate with fertilized eggs once I actually put the eggs in cartons and raised the humidity within the Hatcher. There was no way to turn off the rotator, so you have to completely take it out. I also put a small cup of water in the incubator to raise the humidity to help the chicks. But for the price, this is a pretty solid incubator. The temperature stays regulated and you can view all of the birds as they hatch. I’ve only done one brood of chicks, so I can’t speak on durability yet until I’ve done it a few times.

Yes, I recommend this product.

First Time Incubator-user

We are on Day 17 of our first hatch and 18 out of the 27 eggs we started with seem to be properly developing. Three of the eggs we pulled pretty quickly, because they did not appear to be fertilized as there was no egg development. The other six seemed to be developing and then stopped. I am pretty happy with this! As long as the incubator machine produces more than one hatch, it’s paid for itself. I gave this 5-stars, because it’s great for someone like me who wants to do this for fun every once in a while.
