I bought this for our chickens. I needed something quick, easy, and cleanable. Even right next to the birds they didn't scratch or get in. No problems with any rodents so far. Washes off to look like new with a bit of soapy water. Three months of daily use by myself and my 6 yr old and 7 yr old says it works pretty well. It flexes instead of cracks like cheaper plastic and has no bad smell or fumes as I am extremely bothered by many plastics. Chickens have had such little problem and we have saved so much feed just by having the kids pour over the large opening at the top. Easy enough for kids to unlatch but has made it through several storms with HIGH winds and nothing got wet or wrecked. Will probably buy more for the horse feed as well.

Well I should have bought a galvanized metal can for my dog food. I was really hoping that this would keep out rats/mice but they managed to get through the lid. Other than that it would be a great container. I saw a question if squirrel proof and if you have any varmits I wouldn’t recommend putting any type of feed or seed in it.
