They will protect against most North American snakes; including rattlesnakes, copperheads, and coral snakes. There are sixteen inches of snakeproof protection on these hunting boots. Additionally, a full-grain leather trims the Mossy Oak camouflage nylon, a material that reinforces the Guaranteed Rocky Waterproof construction. So your feet will stay dry in any condition. With each step, the ProLight BioMech outsoles provide traction on rugged terrain. These high-quality boots are made of a PU/Rubber outsoles, which are an added layer of defense against soggy feet. We ordered these to replace a different brand of Snake boots and they did not disappoint us at all.
They fit well right out of the box, feel very good on your feet and legs too.
I hope to never have to test them out against a viper but... I think they will do the job and then some.
I do like the looks of them too. They don't make your feet look real big when looking at them from the side or down on them.
I like them, very much.

They feel good and light in the foot and for us turkey hunters they are perfect, but there is one flaw the foam that is in the heal is not glued in and as you put your foot in the foam will bunch up as you put the boot on and make the boot uncomfortable. They need to get with us hunters and do a survey on what we want and need in a snake boot and not just design one where they think it will work

They're a little stiff at first but they fit great and are comfortable to walk around in. I wear a size 10 which is a men's 8.5. They didn't have an 8.5 so I went with an 8 wide and its perfect.
