Q: Even if the unit is well-mounted, might strong wind compromise it's stability (could it be blown down?) What is the affect of the sunlight on the color of the panels? Are they apt to yellow or darken? are there cloth panels cut to fit the panels?

Q: OK that answers part of the question; what type of floor is recommended? Foundation: if concrete , what thickness? Is it anchored with brackets also? What type of metal and thickness? I will have to hire someone to install this for me, so I need this

1 Answer
  • A: The manufacturer recommends concrete but, it can be mounted on wood as well. If mounting on concrete, 4" thick is the minimum recommendation but you will need to check your local building codes for more information. This unit does not come with additional anchors or brackets, just the pre-drilled holes in the frame. The frame itself is not metal but instead, a plastic resin. Pieces range from 2"-4" thick.

Q: How is this product anchored? What sort of floor is needed?

1 Answer
  • A: It comes with metal brackets, but hardware for anchoring is not included. This is because of the variety of houses and their siding.

nice greenhouse overall

The greenhouse is great now that it's finally up, but the setup process was awful. The instructions were unclear, and it took me hours longer than expected to put it together.
