Not happy at all, new version is made with no cross section supports which cause the thinner wire to bow, the latches just lock in but a big dog could probably push it out and if you tighten the bolts to much, the nut almost pushes into the metal column. Not impressed at all and wonder why they changed the design, probably cheaper cost savings but inferior product!

Used to sell the door and a panel for the same price this is a ripoff

I purchased a newer model of the Retriever Kennel with this door panel. At first I was not sure about the design, but after having two of the old doors rust at the bottom hinge this one with the doors attached midway on the side solved then problem. Not sure if there will be any other rust issues like the orginal since it’s not that old. They also changed the type clamps used from the gold steel ones to a silver type which may have different corrosion resistance. If you use the clamps at low levels they may be subject to being peed on by dogs and that does hasten the rust corrosion of the metal. I attach my lower ones high enough to not be in path of a raised leg. Also spraying them after installing with a clear lacquer coat will help also to stop damage. My expanded kennel is almost 4 yrs old and has some wear damage as a result of continued use in some areas.
