Lighter weight O-rings create less pressure on the cheeks as you pull the horse around with the twisted snaffle bit. The copper will increase your horse's production of saliva, creating a wet, soft mouth. Copper lasts longer in areas near salt water, but because it is softer than sweet iron, it wears somewhat faster. Monitor the snaffle horse bit for excessive wear.
