Purina Pro Plan Urinary Tract Health Adult Chicken and Rice Formula Dry Cat Food, 7 lb.

This is good specialty food for our cats and we have used for quite a while. But it is such a shame that it is so expensive. 

I need this for my cat with idiopathic urinary trouble. She will eat it at night but preferred cat chow.

We love this food because it’s a proactive measure for a common illness in cats.

I have 6 cats but one refuses to eat dry cat food. I set a plate of this kibble down and the rest of them gobbled it up. I put my eldest cat on this every kibble off and on bc he has urinary issues that flare up due to stress. Vet told me this is apmost just as good as the prescription version. He has these issues every now and then also due to periods where he refuses to drink enough water. I try to supplement his diet with wet cat food too, but obviously it gets expensive. These diets aimed at addressing urinary issues typically increase a cats's urge to drink water, which is a serious plus. My main issue with this food is it tends to go bad quick if the room gets a bit too warm and the food isnt kept in the original bag and sealed up well. I've had bulk bags go bad after the forst momth and make my cat severely sick. Then I cannot get him back on the food with a fresh bag because he correlates the smell of the food with making him sick. I have to wait many months to a year.
