Catch them young

The tool works fine, but it's not real big; don't do what I did and wait too long before trying to tackle a beefy calf. Otherwise, it works great and is easy to use.

The opening is too small.

I bought the economy model because I have only one goat to band. Unfortunately the bander does not open far enough to band a 10 week old Boer goat. The max opening dimensions are: top 1.75', bottom 1.5 " and 1.25" on both sides. The tool seems to work OK but you need to keep those dimensions in mind and get the job done earlier. It would be helpful if the manufacturer would include the maximum opening dimensions on the packaging. I'll try the better model from TSC as the QA mentions it opens to max 2.5"

This is perfect for castrating calves. 3 months or younger. Saves a ton of money on a vet bill. Very easy to operate and use.

    Very small!!

Incredibly small. Tried using it on a 4 month old goat and couldn’t even get one testicle through. No doubt I could have had I forced it like shoving a marshmallow through a piggy bank, but the goal isn’t to be as pain free as possible. I do not and would not recommend this product for castrating anything larger than a field mouse.

    Too small

This tool was much smaller than what I needed. I wasn't able to make it work because the openning was extremely small. Will have to buy one where I can get definite size of opennings.

No, I do not recommend this product.
