Each lock features a cam-type locking mechanism that mounts on the checkrail of the innermost sash and engages into the keeper on the checkrail of the outermost sash. The window sash locks are constructed of diecast zinc and come in a corrosion-resistant, industry standard, white-painted finish to match other existing hardware that may already be in the home or office. Each set includes one lock, one keeper, installation fasteners and simple instructions. Installation of these window locks is quick and easy and can be done with a simple handheld Phillips head screwdriver. Other design features include a 5/16 in. narrow keeper, cam-action fastening and 2-1/16 in. mounting hole centers. This model is a left-hand lock, and the right-hand lock is also available under the part number F 2626.
