Pradalex (Pradofloxacin) Antimicrobial Injectable Solution for Cattle and Swine is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections. Available in 100 mL and 250 mL vials, this ready-to-use formulation contains pradofloxacin, a broad-spectrum antimicrobial agent. Pradalex supports the management of respiratory and systemic bacterial infections, aiding in the restoration of clinical health, energy and normal behavior in affected livestock.

Why Use It

Pradalex helps treat of bovine respiratory disease associated with Mannheimia haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida, Histophilus somni and Mycoplasma bovis in cattle and the treatment of swine respiratory disease associated with Bordetella bronchiseptica, Glaesserella (Haemophilus) parasuis, Pasteurella multocida, Streptococcus suis, and Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae in swine.

Special Precautions

Federal law restricts this drug to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian. Not for use in humans. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Individuals with a history of hypersensitivity to quinolones should avoid this product. Not for use in animals intended for breeding greater than 1 year of age because the effects of Pradalex on bovine reproductive performance, pregnancy, and lactation have not been determined. Not for use in beef and dairy calves less than 2 months of age, and veal calves; a withdrawal period has not been established for this product in pre-ruminating calves. Quinolones should be used with caution in animals with known or suspected central nervous system (CNS) disorders. Mild to moderate inflammatory changes of the injection site may be seen in cattle treated with Pradalex. See package insert for additional safety information.

Storage

Protect from direct sunlight. Do not refrigerate or freeze. Store at 25°C (77°F), excursions permitted up to 40°C (104°F) and down to -20°C (-4°F). Use within 6 months of first puncture.
