Q: Can I put this inside a wood-burning stove that does not have a chimney?

- A: Hi Michele, we recommend to avoid the use of an extension cord because of the risk of overheating the cord and the risk of fire. Extension cords are for temporary use only. If an extension cord must be used, it must be UL/CSA certified, rated at 15A (1875W), 125V maximum with 14 AWG minimum and constructed of two current carrying conductors with ground. A heavy duty extension cord with the shortest length possible for the connection is recommended and must not be longer than 50 ft. (15.2 m). Q: I hope to use this inside an oak cabinet of the old TV space. Is 12” deep enough for the cabinet not to become hot duting use? And is there a back to attach?

We needed a quick fix for what had been a non-functional fireplace for many years. This was perfect! It fit the space, looks surprisingly realistic, has a remote and also has a heat feature that is perfect for a small room. Very pleased with this purchase.

Great Fireplace insert

We love our Pleasant Hearth Electric Fireplace Insert. It was so easy to install and fit perfectly in my firebox without any modifications whatsoever. We can sit on our couch and turn it on with the remote control supplied. The warm glow looks realistic and it even fooled my young grandkids. I recommend it for anyone that wants the look and glow of a fireplace but don’t need to keep adding logs to keep a fire going. It really does put out just enough heat to keep our living room warm.I highly recommend
