Thes do work well although they are not an economical way to burn. They do burn much cleaner than real wood logs but with me using these through this past weeks single didit temps I feel that had I been filling my fireplace with real logs my money would have better spent on a cord of wood instead of these logs. Nothing bad about them with the exception that they do break easily so chances are you'll be feeding broken sections of these rather than full 12" logs. If your unit is not clean these will dry out your creosote deposits and it will dry out and fall into your stove. You can and should store these indoors out of any chance of absorbing moisture, they are consistant in size so the stack like a dream and no worries about insects as the production process will kill anything. Much sawdust clean up but it is all clean wood product so it isn't actually dirt that you'll be cleaning up but it is far from mess free. I'd use them again but not as a replacement for wood but as a supplement, if your firewood is wet or not fully seasoned throwing one of these in the fire will help the wood burn better as these have a very very low moisture content.
