The Pirtle Nursery Red Dogwood is a four season flowering tree. In spring, it awakens with red blooms followed by rich green foliage in summer months. Fall brings purplish crimson leaves with winter bringing red fruit for local birds and distinctive bark. It is considered a smaller landscape tree, adding the perfect character to any homeowners yard.
- Includes one Red Dogwood tree in a # 3 (2.929 gal) pot and detailed planting instructions.
- The Red Dogwood tree can be shaped into your ideal form. The best time to prune is while they are still dormant in the winter or the early spring.
- Best grown in USDA Hardiness Zones 5-9.
- Plant 15-25 feet apart for individual spacing and 8-10 feet for windbreak spacing.
- Requires full sun to partial shade. Prefers well-drained soil, and tolerates a wide range of soil types such as acidic, clay, loamy, moist, rich and sandy.

Healthy You g Red Dogwood

I purchased a red dogwood at Tractor Supply. The little tree is healthy with good root development. I and watering it at least twice a week to help it get established. It looks great and I am very happy to have this little tree!
