- A: Hello, thank you for your question. Per the vendor, "The Pioneer 4000-3P quick coupler is for a 3/8” NPT thread size. The compatibility of this coupler with a 1969 John Deere 4020 depends on the hydraulic port thread size of the tractor. If 3/8” is the size in need, that’s the correct part. The 4020s are traditionally 1/2” hydraulics. In that case, the customer needs a 4000-4.The hydraulic coupler ports on a 1969 John Deere 4020 are typically 1/2” ISO 5675 (Pioneer-style) couplers, also known as John Deere “old-style” couplers. The thread size for the hydraulic outlets is 1/2” NPT (National Pipe Thread)."a year agoHelpful?

Works like it was made for it!

I was a little concerned that this wouldn't fit my LS Mtron R3039H, but it went on like it was made for it.
Immediately after installing i,t I fired up the tractor and used the bucket controller, perfect.
