The Permatex Steel Weld Epoxy is an adhesive and filler system that eliminates the need for welding or brazing. This epoxy formula will bond rigid materials including aluminum, brass, chrome, copper, iron, and stainless steel for versatility. Setting in four minutes, the super strength adhesive can be cured with drilled, sanded, threaded, or filled. The Permatex epoxy does not require clamping, fills gaps, and will not shrink.

  • A: Hello, thank you for your question. The Permatex 0.84 fl. oz. Steel Weld Epoxy is rated to withstand -60°F to +300°F (Continuous); up to 350°F (Intermittent). Most car mufflers will exceed this temperature so we cannot recommend that you use this product for that application.
