Ensure your shelled friend is happy with the Penn-Plax Tortoise Palace Terrarium. 48 in. x 30 in. x 12 in. Standard glass aquariums are not the best choice for tortoise housing. Air circulation is poor, and they are often sized too narrow and tall. All glass habitats can be stressful on tortoises who do not recognize the clear glass sides and will continually try to go through them, causing stress and possible injuries. This Penn Plax tortoise palace features a black frame and glass terrarium, with a wire top. Additionally, the tortoise environment features a small storage area attached to the right side of the tank, perfect for storing small items.

Q: Is the stand included? An if not how do we go about ordering one with the tank?

  • A: We have two part #s for the Tortoise Palace tank REPTH1 and the stand would be part # REPTH1S. The stand is sold separately. The vendor is currently out of stock on the stand REPTH1S stand and it is expected back in stock in January.

This is truly a tortoise palace! If you are getting a tortoise I highly recommend this! We purchased a Herman tortoise at a reptile fair and he loves this place. It is larger and better made than anything we saw at there. Highly recommend!
