Q: The information on this panel says it is "rigid", which implies non-flexible. To use this panel beneath a "flexible" solar panel on a curved roof of an RV, requires the Sunlit Ploycarbonate panel to have some flexibility. So is it flexible? How flexible?
2 days ago- A: Hello Kevin, Sunlite Multiwall panels are considered rigid polycarbonate sheets, meaning they are structurally stiff and self-supporting compared to flexible films or membranes. However, they do have some flexibility and can be cold-bent to a certain radius depending on the panel thickness and construction. The amount of allowable curvature varies by panel thickness. Thinner panels can be bent to tighter radii, while thicker panels require larger bend radii. Exceeding the recommended minimum bend radius can damage the panel or reduce its performance. For an RV application, the suitability of Sunlite would depend on the roof curvature and the specific panel thickness being considered. To determine whether it can conform to your roof shape, we would need the panel thickness and the approximate radius or dimensions of the roof curve. If the roof has a pronounced curve, a solid polycarbonate sheet or another material designed for tighter bending may be a better option than a multiwall panel. Please provide the panel thickness and roof dimensions, and we can help evaluate the application more accurately.2 days agoHelpful?

Q: Can I use this to replace my window due to installing up swamp cooler?
2 months ago- A: Hello, thank you for your question. This polycarbonate panel can often be used to fill the open portion of a window when installing a swamp cooler. It can be cut to size and secured in the window frame to create an opening for the cooler vent or hose. However, it is not intended to serve as a permanent structural window replacement. Proper framing, sealing, and installation are recommended to ensure a secure and weather-resistant fit.2 months agoHelpful?
Q: Is this panel clear
2 months ago- A: Hi Sherry, yes the panels are clear and allow light to pass through. They are great for greenhouses for example. Because they are multilayered panels visibility through them tends to be distorted vs something like single layer Panels or glass.a month agoHelpful?
Q: I’m transitioning my Greenhouse to a art studio and I want to use these to block or repel the heat on the ceiling panels
2 months ago- A: Hello Sonny, Our Sunlite panels will withstand heat when properly installed and ventilated. Q: Can you use this sunlite panel in the place of plexiglass to cover up a patio sliding glass door to help with cool air draft?
7 months ago- A: Hello, thank you for your question. The panel could be used as a temporary barrier, but because it is corrugated and designed for roofing or siding, it won’t seal as tightly as plexiglass. For better draft protection, a flat polycarbonate or plexiglass sheet is recommended.7 months agoHelpful?
Q: Is this twin walled?
