There is something very rewarding about growing your own flowers, herbs, or vegetables, and greenhouses provide the ideal environment to make that happen. The Canopia by Palram 8 ft. x 6 ft. Green Canopia Hybrid Greenhouse combines 2 types of polycarbonate panels to create a balanced environment for your plants. The translucent polycarbonate roof panels have twice the heat retention of single layer panels and allow the light to reach your plants at all angles while the crystal-clear polycarbonate side panels provide over 90% light transmission and block harmful UV rays. Polycarbonate is a virtually unbreakable polymer that provides the light transmission of glass, but is lighter, stronger, and safer. Palram - Canopia engineers their panels and aluminum frames to be strong, highly resistant to harsh weather and sun, and durable. This attention to detail continues with an integrated gutter system for drainage as well as a roof vent and hinged door to provide airflow and allow adjustment of heat, humidity, and ventilation. The Hybrid Greenhouse comes as a complete kit and can be quickly and easily assembled. Extend the enjoyment of your growing season and protect your plants from harsh weather and pests with the Hybrid Greenhouse kit from Palram - Canopia.

Q: Does this need heating in winter?

1 Answer
  • A: The winter temperature of your greenhouse will vary based on where you live. If you live in a colder area, an insulation or heating system is a necessary investment. Temperate areas will also need a heating system, but in mild growing zones, passive heating options can often be sufficient.

Happy with result!

Easy to follow directions with most of it. Except for some unclear diagrams on how to assemble the vent and door. Was frustrating sometimes, but my husband and i did it in about three days. We took breaks. It did come out beautiful. It snowed the day after we finished, about 8 inches, and it slid right off the roof.

Nice building BUT not nice putting together

Once the little building was set up I do like it BUT it was HORRIBLE putting together. It did take 3 days working at least 4 hours each day. The instruction booklet was very hard to understand, nothing seemed to make sense. The window still keeps falling off and we did exactly what it said to do, but again nothing made much sense in the booklet. Right now I just had to duct tape the window on until we can figure out how to get it to stay on!

So Noisy

The greenhouse works very well for early seed starts and storing tender plants. The instructions are a nightmare. The major disappointment is the noise.- when the wind blows or the door slams or you trip on the.threshold which you will do. The noise is similar to lightning. It could also use another window or door for cross ventilation. If I had to do it over I would buy the one made of all polycarbonate panel.

No, I do not recommend this product.

poor snow resistance

Despite being advertised as snow-resistant, our greenhouse roof caved in after a snowstorm. I had higher expectations for its durability.

Good Framework -Poor Side Window Forms

It’s a good greenhouse from the point of view of the metal work and ease of construction. The top panels need glueing in as they pop out during gusts (not quite sure how the wind gets in underneath but it does..), and I’ll probably put some extra braces over to keep them in place. The side windows are blown sheet plastic which act very poorly. They’re difficult to get in the channels, and, oh my days, do they rattle horrendously in the wind. I’ve had to take them all out as some of the end panel smaller ones have blown out, and the side panels make too much noise. I’ll probably end up putting some sort of substitute all around, possibly more polycarbonate like the roof.

Bare Minimum Upkeep, Works for Me

I've had this greenhouse for a few seasons now, and it's still as good as new. Maintenance has been easier than I anticipated. It's a decent long-term investment.
