Pala-Tech Vitamin K1 Chewable Tablets is for use in dogs and cats as a supplement to counter hypoprothrombinemia induced by ingestion of coumarin-based compounds, common ingredients of commercial rodenticides. These vitamin K1 tablets for dogs and cats are chewable and easy to administer. Sold in 50 ct. bottles. How it Works
The body utilizes vitamin K1 to produce prothrombin, a protein that works to clot the blood.
Special Precautions
Keep away from animals and children. Precaution(s): Temporary resistance to prothrombin-depressing anticoagulants may result, especially when larger doses of phytonadione are used. It is recommended that Pala-Tech™ Vitamin K1 Chewable Tablets be used in follow-up only after administration of Vitamin K1 injection and hospitalization is no longer required. An immediate coagulant effect should not be expected after administration of phytonadione when administered orally. Phytonadione will not counteract the anticoagulant action of heparin. Failure to respond to Vitamin K1 may indicate that the condition being treated is inherently unresponsive to Vitamin K1.
Overdose Information
Immediately contact your closest emergency animal hospital or vet.
