You need to check the trap regularly by peeling back the sticker from view window to see if any bed bugs have been trapped. If you find bed bugs, then push down on view window to snap the station closed, ensuring bed bugs stay in the trap. This is not meant to kill or trap all bed bugs in an area, but to monitor an area for the presence of bed bugs. The trap is intended to identify the presence of bed bugs before a large population becomes established. By identifying the presence of bed bugs early it is much easier to then control/kill all the bed bugs in an area with consumer products registered to kill or control bed bugs. Once bed bugs are identified in an area, you must treat it with a Bed Bug killer/control registered for killing bed bugs and for use in the area needing treatment.
