Q: Unit keeps shutting to OFF. Clock doesn't stay current. Been using for approx 1 months with no issue until the last 3 days. Presets go back to blank.

Q: where can I find an online video showing exactly how to program this timer? My efforts to time it have failed and I bought two of these. when it appears that I have programmed both channels, it shuts off a couple minutes after watering starts.

Weird clock time glitch, resolved?

I had high hopes for this sprinkler timer. The initial set up appeared easy. However, once I had everything programmed and put it into Auto mode it did something odd. As the display would alternate back-and-forth between the clock time and the time remaining until the next activation (I presume this would be a normal action?), the clock time would advance by two minutes with each alternation of the display. The clock time would also advance erratically as I moved the dial through the different menus, such as start time, duration, frequency, etc. I tried resetting it with a long press on the “off” setting several times as well as by removing and replacing the batteries twice. The weird clock time advancement thing persisted. I can only presume that there is a defect in the timing circuitry. I didn’t bother to try to install it onto a hose bib with the obvious programming problems. Also, the only directions included were in Spanish. Not a big deal because the set up is otherwise intuitive.
Addendum: When I was ready to post this review, I saw that there is an option to include a video. Because this was such a weird thing and difficult to explain, I decided I would include a video showing the erratic display. I put the batteries back in and the problem appears to be resolved. This is despite me having removed the batteries twice and “rebooted” the display several times trying to fix it previously. I don’t have a lot of confidence in this thing, but will give it a go.
