To fix this, ensure the connection is hand-tight and consider applying Plumbers Tape to the threads to create a more secure seal. If the leak is coming from the internal housing, it may be due to high water pressure or hairline cracks caused by freezing temperatures during winter.3 months agoHelpful?

I normally buy the cheaper water timers because I know I will only get a few months use from them. I found the Orbit proflo and was impressed with it stronger looking case. I purchased 4 of them about 3 months ago. One broke today and while examining it I learned its a hard case and appears to be solid though out on the connections but they are not they are plastic in the critical areas and break the same as the plastic ones. So I spent twice as much for the same as the plastic ones and got the same results. Will just buy the cheap ones from now on

This is a simple tool. I wanted something that wasnt electronic and easy to use. Tired of dealing with batteries. I do miss future waterings but like that I just turn the dial and I set.
