Ofloxacin Ophthalmic Solution is a prescription medication for cats and dogs, used to treat bacterial eye infections, including corneal ulcers and conjunctivitis. Its broad-spectrum antibiotic action targets a variety of bacterial pathogens, providing treatment for affected pets. These medicated eye drops come in either 5 mL or 10 mL bottles.How it Works
Ofloxacin is a quinolone antibiotic. This drug class works right at the genetic level, preventing bacteria from reproducing. This stops the spread of infection and causes the bacteria to die.
Special Precautions
- Do not use in animals with known ofloxacin or quinolone hypersensitivity, or in animals with hypersensitivity to any component of this medication.
- Keep out of reach of animals and children.

Side Effects
Potential side effects include:
- Temporary ocular discomfort or burning (most frequently-reported reaction)
- Eye pain
- Dryness
- Tearing
- Blurry vision
- Photophobia
- Foreign body sensation
- Facial edema
- Periocular edema
- Ocular edema
- Chemical keratitis
- Chemical conjunctivitis
- Itching
- Redness
- Stinging
Store at room temperature between 68° to 77°F (20° to 25°C)
