Apply some Nisus Penashield Clear Wood Preservative. This wood preservative is designed for long-lasting use. A single gal. of PenaShield will treat approximately 150-250 sq. ft. of wood. The wood can be painted or treated with a water sealer, stained or varnished.

Penashield good preservative

Went on easy with sprayer. Tired a nap roller first but that did not work well. Got it to help preserve a cedar soffit outside with covered area above and to keep insects from boring in wood. Like the idea that I can still put a water repellant over it, or paint and stain.
