They cheapened the design and it's terrible

The new design for this handle is quite poor. The jaws no longer open as far, and cannot take thicker file tangs. The jaws no longer have a center groove and cannot secure round, square, or hexagonal file tangs. The handle shape is less comfortable and the overmolded rubber pulls away from the underlying plastic. I bought it from an online seller that used the trade images for the older design. If I had known the design was compromised and cheapened like this, I would not have purchased it for the listed price. If they had maintained the old, effective design, I would be willing to pay half-again the listed price, but they decided to cheapen the design instead of raising the price.

No, I do not recommend this product.
